When visitors submit lead or contact forms on a site built with Wantan, we collect the information they enter, which may include:

  • Name and contact details (phone number, email address).
  • Address or service location.
  • Message content and any additional details they choose to share.

This information is stored so the business can respond to the inquiry and see activity in their dashboard.

Businesses using Wantan are responsible for how they collect, use, and respond to information submitted through their website forms, including complying with any applicable privacy and data protection laws.

Analytics and usage data

We collect basic analytics data about visits to sites built with Wantan and to the Wantan application itself. This may include:

  • Pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and browser.
  • Referring URLs and traffic sources.
  • Events such as contact clicks, lead submissions, and other interactions with the site.

We use this data to power the performance metrics in your dashboard and to improve the platform.

Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies or similar technologies (such as local storage) to remember preferences, measure usage of the platform, and keep your session active while you are signed in. You can adjust your browser settings to limit or block cookies, but some features of Wantan may not work correctly without them.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver leads and form submissions to you.

4. Third-party providers

We rely on a small set of trusted third-party providers to run Wantan. These providers process data on our behalf:

  • Supabase – database, authentication, and storage for account data, site content, and analytics events.
  • Stripe – payment processing for subscriptions and setup fees. Stripe handles your payment details; we do not store full credit card numbers.
  • Resend – email delivery for transactional emails such as welcome messages, site published notifications, new lead notifications, and weekly reports.
  • Vercel – hosting infrastructure for the Wantan application and the websites built with it.

These providers are only given the minimum data needed to perform their services, and they are not allowed to use your information for their own marketing.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited situations:

  • With the third-party providers listed above, to operate the service.
  • With your consent, when you connect additional services or integrations to your Wantan site.
  • When required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to respond to lawful requests from public authorities.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Wantan, our users, or the public.

6. Data retention

We keep account, site, and lead data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain records.

If you cancel your subscription, we may retain certain data for backup, security, or legal purposes, even if your site is no longer publicly accessible.

7. Your choices

You have control over the information stored in your Wantan account and sites:

  • You can update your business information and content at any time from the dashboard.
  • You can request that we export your site as static HTML after cancellation.
  • You can contact us to request deletion of certain account data, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information under local privacy laws. If you contact us, we will explain how those rights apply to your situation.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure hosting and industry-standard practices from our providers. However, no online service or method of transmission over the internet can be completely secure.

9. Children's data

Wantan is not intended for use by children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you through the app or by email.
